Extempore: Killer - CD

Zabíjačka (The Pig Slaughter) is one of the most famous shows by The New Rock and Jokes Extempore Band. The group recorded it in 1979 after the forced emigration of their bandleader, J. J. Neduha, and under the new leadership of Mikoláš Chadima, as well as with a completely new line-up.

However, this Pig Slaughter isn't about the idyllic countryside atmosphere of a pork feast; on the contrary, it's a menacingly grim rock drama full of negative characters. A greedy old man, wicked guests, a drunken butcher, and a cowardly pig.

The forty-five-minute Zabíjačka is supplemented by the very first punk songs in Bohemia with Czech lyrics. The sleeve includes all the lyrics and period documentation. Released as part of the Archiv edition.
