In 1926, mysterious forces are threatening the streets of New York, risking the exposure of the wizarding community. A young Englishman, Newt Scamander, has just arrived in the city at the end of his global excursion to research and rescue magical creatures.
When an unsuspecting No-Maj, Jacob Kowalski, accidentally lets some of Newt's beasts escape, a group of unlikely heroes must catch the scattered creatures before they accidentally hurt someone—or someone hurts them. They are opposed by an association of wizards who believe magical creatures are evil, as well as a group of enemies of the magical world connected to dark forces. A confrontation seems inevitable.
