First aid in psychiatry

One of the main principles in medicine is to recognize a medical disorder as early as possible and to take therapeutic intervention as soon as possible. The same is true in psychiatry, where the situation is somewhat more complex. First aid is often required at the site where the suspected disturbance occurred. In psychiatry, this fact is of particular importance. The publication First Aid in Psychiatry by doc. MUDr. Karel Dušek, CSc. and MUDr. Alena Večeřová-Procházková's aim is to offer guidance on first aid from various perspectives. Therefore, all kinds of therapeutic approaches currently used in psychiatry are presented. The aim of this unique book is primarily to contribute to improving the quality of care in the provision of psychiatric first aid at various levels.
