Florence & The Machine: High As Hope (2018) - LP

Ethereal singer Florence and her indie rock band The Machine are releasing the album High As Hope, out on 29 June. The record combines the raw, honest lyrics, indie rock rhythm, dreamy background, and urgent vocals that are so typical of Florence + the Machine. The album was written by Florence Welch herself, who also took on production duties alongside Emile Haynie (Bruno Mars, Lana Del Rey).

Since their formation in 2007, Florence + the Machine have received widespread acclaim from influential media and won the BRIT Award for Critics' Choice. The band's music is renowned for its dramatic and eccentric production, and especially for the vocals of Florence Welch. The band debuted with the album Lungs, which spent a full five weeks at number two on the UK Albums Chart and remained in the charts for 65 consecutive weeks, making it one of the best-selling albums in Britain and one of the top 40 successful music albums. Subsequent albums were similarly successful in the UK, and the record How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful confidently topped the US Billboard 200, a feat no similar British band had previously achieved. In 2015, the band headlined the Glastonbury festival, making Florence the first female headliner of this century.
