Forced fight

Sam Fuller had made a name for himself, one that was known far beyond the borders of colourado. He had been through bad times and preferred solitude to the company of others. But fate would not grant him a life of seclusion. The revolvers were to speak again, and for every opponent killed, another would come, calling for revenge. For now, everything was quiet around Fuller's fire. An oppressive silence preceded the decision. A night bird flew over the clearing where Sam Fuller was camped, its wings making a barely audible swish. Something must have spooked it…
