Forgiveness

The French priest Guy Gilbert (1935) confirms through his rich experience with marginalized people, criminals and prisoners that only the path of forgiveness leads to inner serenity, peace and joy. For him, it is Christians who are to constantly implement the difficult instruction to forgive in society, even where it is seemingly impossible. It shows where to find the source of strength to forgive, how to forgive in the family, in relationships, what tools the Church offers in the sacraments. As he writes: "For it is not an act of our will, it is an act of love that only God can breathe into us."
