From the Dust of the Road

He who cannot find the courage to leave his family home will never discover who he truly is. This was true yesterday, it will be true tomorrow, and so it is no surprise that it is also true in the world created by the author of this story. The only difference is that the obstacles and trials faced by fantasy heroes are different from our own.

The hero of this saga is no longer a boy. The question is, however, is he truly a man yet? He himself senses that the only way to find out is to set out on a journey. Preferably a long and dangerous pilgrimage. In search of what? Knowledge of the world and, through it, of himself.

The reader will thus witness a long voyage into unknown southern seas, follow his arduous return through the wilderness, his unusual adventures, and the equally unusual encounters that are to hint at his unsettling future. Along with him, you will discover that fate's most painful blows are not aimed at our bodies, but strike our hearts above all. For the sake of love, the story's hero becomes entangled in a war that culminates in a fierce clash between two different worlds. In the merciless struggle for existence, he gains his first battle experience and a name, but in time, he finds he has lost much more. He has lost his illusions, his first true love, and, without even knowing it, his home.

Come and embark on a long and dangerous journey, in the dust of which a new hero is born. See if he withstood the hardships of war, find out how he handled the snares of love, and whether he truly understood what fate demanded of him.
