Fulmaya, the girl with thin legs - Blu-ray

The main character of the story is the Slovak musician and actress Dorota Nvotová, known from films such as Girlie, The Pernik Tower, or the comedy Life is Life, and her Nepalese alter ego, Fulmaya. This young, intelligent woman, through her approach to life, embodies the polarity of the contemporary world. Despite her comfortable and relatively successful existence in Europe, she embarked on a long journey to find herself, which led her to the foothills of the Himalayas. In one of the poorest corners of the world, and one most different from our own culture, she finds peace and quiet. In Nepal, Dorota runs a relatively successful travel agency focusing on high-altitude trekking. Through her Nepalese alter ego—Fulmaya—we also enter the world of street children and the life of the Happy Home orphanage, which Dorota looks after. Here we meet another important character in the story, a three-year-old girl found on the street and named after her saviour—Fulmaya. She allows us to follow the interesting parallel between two girls of the same name from completely different worlds. And because life itself is the most surprising scriptwriter, Dorota Nvotová's fate also takes a perhaps somewhat unexpected turn.
