Funny House

Jiri Kahoun, author of a number of successful children's books, and Jiří Fixl, leading Czech illustrator, together they have created another book of quirky fairy tales, this time for first graders. Do you know pidipigs? They live in a funny house behind a blue mountain and a verpánk forest and everyone envies them because they don't have to study at all and they just play all night. And have you ever heard of a little skinny guy? He's unhappy about his big nose, so he writes poems. And if you prefer to read about animals, you can find a fairy tale about a duck who learns to talk. For a really reliable reading workout, take part in a reading warm-up or test your memory in the fairy tales with a riddle. The original illustrated stories prove that even the youngest readers can be written about with fresh humour.
