G. K. Chesterton.
In the dramatisation of Gilbert Keith Chesterton's short story The Devil's Oesophagus, the famous amateur detective Father Brown does not appear. This time, Doctor Fischer and Police Commissioner Denham are jointly investigating the cause of Brigadier Garnett's death. The Devil's Esophagus was written by Jiří Strnad based on a detective story from his collection The Man Who Knew Too Much. It remains, unjustifiably, rather hidden to the vast majority of the Czech public, because translators have so far almost exclusively focused their attention in this genre sphere of Gilbert Keith Chesterton's literary output on the "Father Brown cases".
