GAGMAN (complete six-part series) - DVD

A tribute to the golden age of slapstick comedy
The hot summer of 1913. In the fictional American town of Gagstone, a suburb of Jollywood, a tramp named Al accidentally finds himself passing through the silver screen and into the action.

A six-part series by director Juraj Herz, telling the story of the birth of Hollywood and its stars, was filmed as a tribute to the glorious era of early slapstick. The series strictly adheres to the authentic style of silent comedies and the gentle irony of the genre, frequently parodying now-iconic scenes, such as the bumbling Keystone Cops or the famous cream-pie fights.

The series directly benefits from the excellent pantomime skills of actor Boris Hybner, who plays the main character, the tramp and gagman Al.

This title is presented in a lower "television" quality – unfortunately, a higher-quality recording is not available.
We decided to release the series on DVD anyway, as it is one of the gems of television entertainment.
