Colter Shaw makes a living as a reward hunter. In Silicon Valley, he is trying to find a missing woman, the trail for whom leads to an infamous video game called The Whisper Man. Is it possible that some madman is trying to bring the game to life? If so, the kidnapped girl is in some remote location and must try to survive with the help of five randomly chosen objects. Shaw finds himself in the middle of a frenzied game—and perhaps that's why he realises too late that he has also become the prey.
