A new LitRPG series from the author of the bestselling Perimeter Defence
Can a level one newbie survive in virtual reality when the game throws him straight into an area for characters dozens of levels higher? Or will the goblin herbalist die before anyone even watches his stream?
Tim is a former successful player of one of the older MMORPGs, but that was only until the gaming sphere was dominated by World of the Limitless, which pushed all other games out of the market. Tim's extensive investments in the original game suddenly lost their value, and so he has to find another job very quickly. Fortunately, he manages to get a job as a tester for World of the Limitless. For zero pay, but with the promise that everything he gets in the game can be converted into real money, which he and his sister desperately need.
There's one catch – as a corporate employee, Tim's job is to promote unpopular races and locations. Instead of a human paladin or an elven archer, he is assigned a goblin herbalist character with miserable charisma and even lower intelligence and an almost impossible task: to record his progress through the game and captivate viewers enough to win goblins new fans.
Michael Atamanov has already carved out a firm place for himself in the LitRPG genre with his Perimeter Defence series. In the brand new Dark Herbalist, this time he builds a fantasy world where the main role is played by the usually neglected 'dark' races – goblins, orcs, naiads and one cunning nymph. Amra the Goblin will have to work hard to keep his enemies at bay and the valuables in his inventory!
