Garcia: Before Dawn - CD

Garcia' s second album of the non-genre band is called Before Dawn. Like Woven Ways' 2007 debut, the album Before Dawn contains a pleasantly mixed mix of folk, original and adopted material. The verses of the Scottish poet Robert Tannahill (1774-1810) alternate with the Asturian lullaby or with the original compositions by Luboš Malina and Kateřina García. A delicacy is, for example, the introductory Scottish song Gloomy Winter' s Now Awa ', “a celebration of love and Scottish nature“, recorded in a cappella style, which is an integral part of the island' s folklore. On the contrary, the adaptation of the Macedonian folk Ančice Mori Dušice is surprising, whose melodic motif Malina first recorded on the album of the singer Kate Bush.
