Abcdefu's single became a viral hit and catapulted the young girl from Texas into the ranks of the most followed teenage performers. Musically, Gayle grew up in Nashville, where she busked and played in bars from a young age. She released her first singles on her own, but soon signed a deal with Atlantic Records. Her work can be described as alternative rock.
