A practical guide to the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR
The obligation will apply to all entities that process the personal data of EU citizens - i.e. the vast majority of companies, organisations, municipalities, schools or state institutions. The purpose of the GDPR is to protect the data of ordinary citizens, which can easily be misused. The standard imposes many obligations on companies and organizations in the areas of law, management, setting up and securing the information technology structure. On the contrary, it clearly defines people's rights against those who collect and use personal data for their activities.
Currently, apart from legal analysis of the issue, there is no publication on the market describing and explaining how the individual provisions and obligations will affect the operation of companies and organisations. There is no procedure described on how to introduce and actually implement this standard in organisations. This book is the answer to this need of most companies and institutions.
