The Major (Scarlett Johansson) is the commander of Section 9, a special police unit that fights the worst cybercrimes.

The story takes place in the near future, where the world is even more dependent on modern technology than it is today, and any disruption to the technological order can have unimaginable consequences. After all, the film's heroine is a high-tech product herself, a perfectly balanced combination of robot and human. With a human brain and an advanced robotic shell, the Major tries to catch a criminal whose goal is to destroy Hanka Robotics, the leader in artificial intelligence development.
However, the Major is not only struggling with evil, but also with her own doubts, as the only imperfect part of her otherwise perfect body—her brain—begins to betray her. Incomprehensible sensations are appearing in her mind with increasing frequency. At first, she tries to suppress them, but they soon pique her curiosity and her natural desire to get to the bottom of mysteries. These sensations could be imprints of her previous existence, they could be the key to memories of her human self, they could be the key to opening her personal Pandora's box, after which she will never see the world through the same eyes again.
Because everything is different.
