Gipsy.cz: Representative - CD

After the lively, dance-infused opening track with its strong melodic idea comes the song 'Barvoslepej svět' (Colourblind World), in which Gipsy.cz, in addition to their usual attributes of freshness, perspective, fun, and originality, have also added authentic social themes that are characteristic of the entire album. This also helps the band to overcome and break down various xenophobic barriers.

They don't hesitate to make fun of anything, to provoke, and even to turn their wit on themselves. Gipsy.cz perform in the brilliantly coordinated line-up of Radoslav “Gipsy” Banga, Vojta Lavička, Petr Surmaj, and Jan Surmaj, which is naturally reflected in the excellent harmony and spirit of the whole album. In total, the album contains 14 tracks and was recorded at the renowned SONO studio. As a result, 'Reprezent' boasts a far more elaborate and colourful sound compared to 'Romano Hip Hop'.

This is also thanks to excellent guest musicians such as Josef Fečo (viola, double bass), Milan Kroka (guitars), Camillo Caller (percussion), and others. Gipsy.cz were the first Czech group to perform at the legendary Glastonbury festival, and their music video for 'Romano Hip Hop' made it onto the MTV Europe World Chart Express.
