Girl, woman, other

The audiobook Girl, Woman, Other follows the riveting lives of twelve British women on a harrowing journey across the past century. Fearless farmer, lesbian feminist, middle-aged cleaning lady, a successful banker, a strict teacher or a housewife with postpartum depression... Each of them is different, and yet they resemble each other more, than they would have expected. They are united by the desire to find something: a shared history, a better future, instead of, that could be called home, understanding, husband, a mistress, a lost mother, a missing father or just a glimmer of hope. The novel, at the intersection of prose and poetry, is a celebration of black women and otherness.
