God Is an Astronaut: Epitaph Ltd Clr

LP Record Since their beginnings in 2002, the Irish foursome God Is An Astronaut has been one of the most dazzling acts in the post-rock genre. Intense rock, ethereal and mesmerising soundscapes, thrilling dynamics, and captivating melodies quickly make it clear why the band is now mentioned in the same breath as genre heroes like Sigur Rós, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Mogwai. Each of their records has been an irresistible invitation on an unforgettable journey, and their ninth opus, Epitaph, shows considerable progress in their signature sound without neglecting the ethos that drives the Irishmen. The opener and title track, "Epitaph", is an astonishing mood-setter that speaks of pain and loss—and how not to get lost in it.
