Goldstein writes to his daughter

Follows the successful audiobook Proud Budge
The author Irena Dousková began a series of popular books with strong autobiographical features with her first novel Goldstein Writes to His Daughter - Proud Budge, Onegin Was a Russian and Darda. The father of the main character Helenka Součková, here called Klára Kalousková, Freistein, here called Goldstein, left for Israel in the early 1960s. For twenty-four years he tried to forget the family he had left behind in Bohemia. The little girl lived with her absent father in a kind of strange, hostile symbiosis. Years later, now an adult, she longed to meet her father and approached him. An extraordinary correspondence ensues in which the guilty Goldstein, already a famous film director, desperately tries to make up for the lost years of a wasted parental relationship. The story, written in letters, takes place at the turn of the 80s and 90s and tells of a father's love and self-love. Arnošt Goldflam's interpretation has transformed the written correspondence into a new dramatic work that reveals the inner contradictory feelings of the main character with great sensitivity and understanding. In the bonus of this set, we return to the end of Proud Budges, in which Bára Hrzánová, as little Helen, documents her attitude towards her missing father.

The album completes the tetralogy of the audiobooks Proud Budge, Onegin was a Russian and Darda
