Goodbye, Son - DVD

The Chinese film So Long, My Son is a meticulously crafted, three-hour family saga spanning several decades of recent Chinese history, told through the story of a married couple struck by a fateful tragedy.

Through this personal human drama, the acclaimed director Wang Xiaoshuai reflects on the dark side of China's Cultural Revolution, particularly the one-child policy, and proves that profound emotions don't require grand cinematic gestures.
