Gott, Karel: Duets (5x CD) - CD

An elegant box set with a complete collection of memories: Five decades of Karel Gott's star-studded duets!
Almost a hundred songs for two or more of Karel Gott's singing partners, with more than twenty songs never before released on CD.

The four CDs feature dozens of both expected and surprising guests. From Vlasta Průchová through to 60s stars like Eva Pilarová, Hana Hegerová, Jana Petrů, Waldemar Matuška, Milan Chladil and Karel Štědrý, we move into the next decade with Marie Rottrová, Jana Robbová, Naďa Urbánková and Jitka Zelenková.
The eighties brought Hana Zagorová, Darina Rolincová, Marcela Holanová, Marika Gombitová, Petra Janů, and also Josef Laufer to the shared microphone. Singing their way into the nineties with Karel Gott were, for example, Iveta Bartošová, Marta Kubišová, Ladislav Křížek, Pavol Habera with Peter Dvorský, Daniel Hůlka, Pavel Bobek and Michal David, with special international guests including Daliah Lavi and DJ Bobo.
The most recent disc doesn't miss out on Bushido, Lucie Bílá, Xavier Naidoo, Anna Maria Kaufmann, Xindl X, Olga Lounová, Monika Absolonová, Štefan Margita, the Alexandrov Ensemble or Lucie Vondráčková.
Disc 5 is particularly special: live recordings from 1965 to 2010 prove just how exciting Karel Gott sounded in concert with Felicia Weathers, Bára Basiková, Ilona Csáková, Pauletta de Vaughn, Věra Gondolánová, Karel Černoch, Petr Muk and Eva Urbanová.
