Grateful Dead: American Beauty - LP

A reissue of the fifth studio album by the Grateful Dead, originally released in 1970. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it at number 258 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It is available in classic CD and LP versions, as well as an expanded 2CD edition (supplemented with a live concert recording from the era).

The legendary rock band from San Francisco was formed in 1965 and is one of the key representatives of the golden age of rock music. At the turn of the sixties and seventies, they became famous for their long and wild improvisations during live performances. Their work incorporated influences from a wide variety of musical styles, from rock and psychedelia to folk and bluegrass, and even gospel, jazz, and reggae. The band broke up in 1995 following the death of its leader, guitarist and singer Jerry Garcia. In 2007, the band received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
