Great expedition
In 1922, Agatha Christie took part in a trade mission to promote the British Empire Exhibition, which was to be held two years later at Wembley. The itinerary for the ten-month trip took the expedition to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Canada and New York. Dozens of amazing places, quirky characters and adventurous, harrowing and humorous situations - all described by the emerging queen of detective fiction in unpublished letters to her mother and documented in photographs. The Great Expedition reveals a new, unrecognized face of the famous writer, but it is also a unique contemporary travelogue.
