Guardian of Portugal

For centuries, the guardians of Lisbon have kept the forces of changelings at bay - dragons, vampires, and witches. However, their strength is fading and they are too busy to respond to a lonely woman' s cry for help.

Beginner dragon Laura Sampa has always known that her family descended from a lineage of dragon shapeshifters, but this ability—or curse—has not manifested itself in generations. That' s why Laura had no idea that it could happen to her.

But it happened.

Now vampires are thirsting for Laura' s blood, and her last hope is a mysterious, life-weary warrior who will save her from a brutal attack. But this is just a prelude to a much greater danger that leaves her with no choice but to trust a rugged, handsome stranger who awakens all sorts of hidden desires in her.

Marco da Silva, heir to an ancient dragon dynasty, has already been burned in a similar situation, so he has no intention of getting involved. But for some reason, he just can' t resist. Before he knows it, he takes Laura to his private island retreat, and his inner dragon swears to protect her.

Why? Because it' s not just his heart that' s playing a dangerous game. He will have to face ruthless enemies who will stop at nothing to seize Laura and control the entire continent.
