Guardians of the Grail

A trio of investigators from the popular TV miniseries Ďáblova lest (The Devil's Ruse) and Ztracená brána (The Lost Gate) tackle a new, intricate case.

For centuries, mysterious phenomena have been observed in the Hlízová Tower at Zvíkov Castle. Strange sounds echo, ghostly beings appear, and light phenomena illuminate the air. Something unknown affects the human psyche, causing hallucinations and inducing a sense of fear. In modern times, visitors face another problem. Batteries drain extremely quickly and electronic devices fail. The ISIS team of occult researchers, attempting to unravel this mystery, loses two men on the very first night. Their bodies show not the slightest injury, yet their internal organs are torn to shreds. Were they killed by paranormal forces, an unknown energy that, according to legend, occasionally strikes here, or by a cunning murderer? While Commissioner Sumara and Inspector Šímová try to find a logical explanation, Dr Runa deciphers well-hidden secret messages in the castle chapel, leading him to a more than surprising revelation. However, he has no idea that he has just entered the danger zone himself.
