Haematology and transfusiology

The textbook "Hematology and Transfusiology" is intended primarily for medical students, but can also serve as a supplement for postgraduate studies in hematology and transfusiology, internal medicine and general medicine. The text is divided into 12 main chapters, which give a brief overview of hematology - from clinical examination, laboratory methods to individual groups of blood diseases and disorders of hematopoiesis (anemia, non-cancerous and cancerous disorders of white blood cells, disorders of hemostasis, etc. ) - and transfusiology. A separate chapter is devoted to the new dia-diagnostic and therapeutic options that have come to the fore in recent years. At the end of each chapter, there are test questions to enable the reader to self-check their knowledge. Appendices at the end of the book provide reference values for selected laboratory parameters and a list of educational in-ternet sites where readers interested in hematology can find further detailed information.
