Hana Roguljič: Vítězslava
The fate of the Czech composer Vítězslava Kapralová has a tragic touch. A talented young woman who had all the makings of a great international career has died at the age of 25. Far from his parents and his homeland, in the chaos of the beginning of World War II. In the short time allotted to her, she wrote more than 40 compositions, already highly appreciated during her lifetime. What kind of girl was she who managed to make it in a profession considered (then and now) an exclusively male domain? And how did her obsession with music and self-validation translate into her personal life and the relationships with men that she established with provocative ease? The director of the production is Aleš Vrzák, who cast Magdalena Borova in the title role.
