Hegerová Hana: All the Best (2x CD) - CD

A compilation especially important for its selection of songs chosen by the singer herself!

From Suchý and Šlitr to Horáček and Hapka, from Wenceslas Square to Paris, from Černé Jessie to Potměšilí hosté, from the group songs in Klarinety to her evocative solo recitals, she has been with us: captivating, passionate, and gifted with great artistry.

This distinctive retrospective of Hana Hegerová's work features almost forty songs. They were selected with the help of Petr Malásek, an expert on the tastes of this famously strict artist, even when it comes to her own repertoire.

A complete audio remastering has removed any possible studio ageing while sensitively preserving the patina of the era in which they were created. Few singers can unite borrowed and original, old and new, or happy and sad material with such a strong personality into a unique whole. This selection is clear proof that Hana Hegerová's songs have lasting power.

A musical feast from a lady with exquisite taste!
