Hegerová Hana: Merci! - CD

A year ago, as part of the preparations for the celebration of Hana Hegerová's 90th birthday, the idea of summarising her francophone repertoire was conceived. She liked the subject very much and gladly agreed with him. As fate would have it, only her descendants were able to observe this year's preparatory work - and enrich it by providing archival documents. The recordings from 1965 to 2010 include everything essential that was recorded, mainly studio shots but also rare stage moments. The chronology was preserved, allowing for logical continuation of contemporary arrangements and sounds, but also showing the maturation of artistic expression. Between about thirty and eighty, Hana Hegerová met Brel, Ferrem, Bécaud, Moustakim, Aznavour or Gainsbourg, to add her own singing and personal experiences. The original version, but also the texts of Pavlos Kopta, Žák and Vrba, O. Suchý, J. Fikejzová and others have helped make these songs a permanent part of the top of our popular music of the last six decades. In the form of 2LP and CD it is actually a thank you to Mrs. Hegerova France for her musical inspiration and at the same time our thanks to her for a lot of beautiful music. On the title page is a photograph by Jakub Ludvík, showing a charmingly relaxed singer. Inside the cover you will find historical footage from Paris Olympia and other concert images, as well as reminiscences of her career and sheet music, texts and other materials from Hana Hegerová's personal archive.

Year of publication: 2021 (compilation)
