Hell on earth, death in heaven

A war story inspired by the fates of real people: They went off to war. Some with enthusiasm, some without. Most, however, had been so affected and shaped by propaganda from childhood that they did not doubt the words of their Führer. They were the chosen people with a right to living space. And they wanted to fight for it. They succeeded for almost three years. But then came the great turning point. It was called Stalingrad. The illusion of invincibility disappeared. All that remained were the dead and the bitter taste of defeat. And the mighty Luftwaffe became a mere shadow of its former successes. Only then did many understand.
