The son of the underworld's ruler, Prince Nuada, has broken the fragile truce that existed between humans and his realm, thus unleashing proverbial hell on Earth. And it's about to get worse – Nuada is trying to assemble a collection of artifacts that will help him awaken the Golden Army, a legion of indestructible monsters that could make humanity an endangered species in minutes.

As if that weren't enough, Hellboy is also distracted by his somewhat volatile home life with his girlfriend, Liz. In the face of a global threat, family must take a backseat, so the employees of the most secret of all secret agencies venture into the enemy's camp to stop the Evil before it can be unleashed upon the Earth.
