Hello, America!
A utopian picture of climate change.
In the wake of climate change, much of the United States is turning into a desert. A group of Europeans embark on an adventurous journey through uninhabitable ruins. Almost an Orwellian utopia with sci-fi elements.
A disparate group of people, including scientists, are sailing from Europe to America to see for themselves what the United States looks like after devastating climate change. Each of the expedition participants is driven by different motivations, and the mission of this naval expedition is to investigate the increase in atmospheric radioactivity over the American continent. But no one is prepared for the havoc they will see. New York's skyscrapers covered in gold dust, a sunken fleet of ships in the harbour, the destroyed Statue of Liberty... The author has filled his almost Orwellian utopia with a haunting depiction of a disturbing vision that is inexorably approaching. The precise and merciless description also reveals the reasons for the demise of the prosperous world: if we can give up over-indulgent consumerism, there is still hope for salvation.
