Hepatology
Another, completely revised edition of a full-colour publication, guaranteed by a committee of a professional society, which is published at regular four-year intervals. In its own way, the publication presents the “guidelines” for diagnosis and treatment in the field for the upcoming period. This book belongs not only on every hepatologist's desk but is also intended for doctors in related fields.
The first edition of Hepatology was published in 2010. In preparing the 2022 edition, both editors sought to reflect all the progress and changes that hepatology has undergone in the more than two decades of the new century. For this reason, a whole range of new authors were invited to collaborate, some chapters were added completely new, while others included in previous editions were omitted.
Imaging techniques and the histological evaluation of liver biopsies currently play a very important role in hepatology. Therefore, a great deal of imaging documentation and a whole series of illustrative histological findings have been added to the book.
