Hewer - civic association was founded on the initiative of Ing. Jana Hrdé. Although she herself had severe physical disabilities, she was actively involved in social work. The original intention was the “complexity“ of helping anyone who got into an unusual life situation with a subsequent attachment to a bed or wheelchair (after an accident, worsening of an existing illness, etc. ), or into social isolation, in the context of a physical, sensory, mental or combined disability. It is characteristic for us that we can also provide services continuously, ie. 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. Each client chooses their personal assistant and can also replace it if necessary. Appropriately complements with nursing or alternative field assistance or health services, where they serve clients requiring more systematic care outside normal working hours.

Although HEWER, z. with. provides services to approximately 1,000 clients a year, each of which is a new challenge for them. Although Hewer has had over a million assistance hours over the years, every hour of their care is important to them. He values the trust of every client, whether it is the inhabitants of a large city or a small village in the mountains. It does not distinguish whether it is a famous person or a person who is important “only“ for his loved ones or perhaps has already been left alone in the world.
