The Homolkas have moved up a rung on the social ladder: because they finally got a car. Only now are they a hogo fogo family! Plans of where to go are affected by the obligation to visit the village great-grandfather, who is supposedly dying. However, everything is different in the South Bohemian village. While the "dying" farmer spends his holiday time enjoying himself with his hunter friends, the bored Homolkas spend their time in the cottage squabbling and petty arguments.
