Hombre - Blu-ray

The hero of this American western, set in the late 1980s, is a white man named John Russell (Paul Newman), nicknamed Hombre, who was kidnapped from his parents as a child and raised among Indians. After being rescued by the whites, he takes the name of his foster father and tries to adjust to life among the whites. John Russell, however, is constantly being pulled elsewhere. The film deals with a cruel and ruthless time when the American West was already completely overrun by whites and the indigenous people were forced to live a shameful life on reservations. Hombre, aware of the crimes committed by "his whites" against the Indians, despises the whites and returns to his red brothers on one of the reservations. But he has no idea that life will put him through the most difficult test of his life.
