Homeland Landscapes

The book's author is the popular geologist and writer Václav Cílek. In artistic collaboration with the illustrator Renáta Fučíková, they have created the impressive and unique publication, Krajiny domova (Landscapes of Home). Each chapter begins with a large picture of a selected landscape and continues with its own text, along with interesting facts and historical context that are characteristic features of the region. This unique book project builds on significant encyclopaedic and educational works from Albatros, such as the Dějiny v obrazech (History in Pictures) series or Žáček's encyclopaedia.
