Hopeful Young Woman - DVD

Cassandra (Carey Mulligan) is playing a strange game. He goes to bars, pretending to be heavily intoxicated, getting picked up by guys, who see her as easy prey, and when it comes to the "best", they will attack them mercilessly. The attacks tend to be more psychological, but still leave a very painful mark on the victims. And why is a former prospective med student doing this? Because she met a guy in college, that caused her such trauma, that she's given up on everything, she dropped out of school, she went back to her parents, she started working as a waitress in a coffee shop and the only thing that she enjoys, are the aforementioned night hunts.

This hobby takes on a new dynamic when the "perpetrator" of her current condition, handsome pediatrician Ryan (Bo Burnham), reappears in her life. With it comes a slight uneasiness about what really happened that day in college, because Ryan acts as if nothing happened, even starts flirting with Cassandra, not even resisting the idea that something more serious could come out of it. Cassandra seems to reciprocate his feelings. But since we are in the genre of the cynical thriller, it is clear that this promising young woman is using her amorous mimicry to plot a revenge against which her bar escapades will be nothing more than Canadian pranks.
