Horror Michal: Light into the Dark - CD

An album from 2020 by the successful music composer, singer, and hitmaker Michal Hrůza. The album was preceded by the title track and music video Světlo do tmy (Light into the Darkness).

Album producer Lukáš Chromek says that the “new” Michal Hrůza is now harder and darker than ever before, but still carries a piece of hope within him.

The video's director, Vojtěch Buchta, sees the greatest strength in Michal's lyrics. That's why he tried to extract them from the song and place them in a physical space, creating the motif of a character wandering through the landscape, leaving behind a message for people who are lost and still searching for something – just like her. He comments on the story, “and she finds it in places on the fringes, in the middle of nowhere, off the main paths, and it is there that they can find a message, a meaning, a word, a thought, or a light.”

Světlo do tmy is a song from a very important period for the artist. “Sometimes we are surrounded by gloomy darkness, and that's why it's good to break the darkness with light sometimes. Light is more positive than darkness,” says Michal Hrůza, adding that “from every darkness, there is a path to the light, and that's what my new album is about.”
