Hozier: Hozier (2014) (2xLP) - LP

Behind the name Hozier is a 24-year-old Irish musician who, after finding success on home turf, is now set to win over the rest of Europe.

Andrew Hozier-Byrne comes from a musical family and took up music in early childhood. He recorded his first demo tracks during his studies, which were soon followed by a successful debut EP. Titled Take Me To Church, it made a major impact on both the Irish and Luxembourgish charts. Hozier has already released another EP this year and has now sent his first major single to European radio stations.

This single is Sedated, a track with a wonderfully relaxed tempo. The song showcases the singer's beautifully toned voice. Thanks to his talent and vocal style, Hozier draws comparisons to the legendary American singer and guitarist Jeff Buckley, who died in 1997 at the age of just 30. Hozier also enjoys the backing of prestigious international publications such as The Sunday Times and Clash, which predict a very bright future for this young artist.
