Hrubý Jan & Kukulín: Silmarillion (2x CD) - CD

The re-release of the studio album Silmarillion by Jan Hrubý & Kukulín is conceived as a vocal album, unlike Jan Hrubý's other projects. The album is thematically focused on the heroes of Tolkien's novel The Silmarillion (Túrin, Beren and Lúthien, the dwarves) and the music of Kukulin naturally completes the picture of the story. The texts were composed by translator Patricia Frecerová. Apart from the stable members of the band Kukulín -Jan Hrubý, Jan Kolář, Ruda Hálek- interesting guests appeared on the album: vocalists Jana Lewitova and Katerina Podholova, guitarists Pavel Skala and Pavel Kucera. Silmarillion is a musically diverse project, alternating between songs in delicate arrangements with traditional songs and even songs that have been composed in symphonic form. The 2CD package also includes Jan Hruby's long unavailable solo album Stará vlna - Pastoral Dawn, on which he is strongly inspired by Christmas themes. He recorded it in the Otvovice studio in October 2000, with Andrea Hruba accompanying him on recorder. Beautiful instrumental music will add to your Christmas comfort.
