Hunter

In the middle of a scorching summer, two men arrive in a village in western Ireland. One is returning home. Both plan to get rich. One will die. Former Chicago PD detective Cal Hooper decided to take early retirement and moved to the Irish countryside. He hoped he would finally find some peace. And, more or less, he did: he started dating a local farmer, Lena, and is gradually transforming Trey Reddy from a feral teenager into a respectable child moving in respectable company. But then, after years away, Trey's father shows up, bringing with him an English millionaire and a plan that ends with a pot of gold hidden somewhere in the village. Everything that Cal, Lena, and Trey have built together is suddenly at risk. Cal and Lena are ready to do anything to protect Trey. But Trey doesn't want to be protected. Trey wants revenge. The Hunter tells the story of what we are capable of doing for our loved ones, where the desire for revenge can lead us, and what we must sacrifice when love collides with retribution.
