Hussite Epic I

The seven-part saga recounts the events of the glorious and turbulent 15th century in the Czech Kingdom

The historically faithfully described events form the backdrop of a readable and thrilling story of the extended Prokop family, whose members are pitted against each other by an inexorable fate. The first part takes place between 1400 and 1415, when the Prokop family splits up, some settling in Prague and the rest staying in their native South Bohemia.

The book describes life at the court of King Wenceslas, the environment of Prague University, the youth of Jan Žižka, the Battle of Grunwald and the beginnings of the Reformation movement and the burning of Master Jan Hus.
