I obediently report - DVD

The second part begins with the departure of Švejk and Lieutenant Lukáš to České Budějovice. On the way, Švejk manages to inadvertently stop the train; is dropped off and sets off on foot on the famous Putim anabasis. Getting to the station in Budějovice on time, however, is not exactly easy.
Karel Stekly's film adaptation is one of the most successful and famous. A lot of credit for this goes to the well-chosen cast. Rudolf Hrušínský did not have it easy in the role of Švejk. Back then, everyone still remembered the amazing Karel Noll from silent films. But time has shown that he did not disappoint and managed to create a distinctive and memorable role.
