Illumination of sun tunnels

The authors of the publication focus on the issue of lighting interiors with daylight transported by sun tunnels. They offer an overview of the development of tube lightguides, explaining their optical properties, assessment methods and analytical design solutions. The more demanding reader can get the theoretical basics of solving the problems of light transmission by tube light pipes under various exterior lighting conditions and the less demanding reader has the opportunity to get acquainted with simpler procedures of evaluation of interior lighting by light pipes. The book is intended for civil engineers, architects, investors, construction companies, teachers and students of universities. The authors are members of SAV in Bratislava, Brno University of Technology, National Committee of the International Society for Illumination CIE.
