Outside an amusement park in Stockholm, police discover the body of a woman in a box, stabbed with swords. Although at first glance it looks like a failed magic trick, it soon becomes clear that this is an extremely brutal murder.
However, the identity of the victim remains a mystery and the case is not moving. In the end, police officer Mina Dabiri sees no other option but to ask Vincent Walder, a mentalist and an expert on the human psyche and magic, for help.
Although Vincent is initially unenthusiastic about the collaboration, he awakens deep-seated memories. Together with Mina, who is also battling her demons, they realise during the investigation that they are chasing a ruthless serial killer. And he seemed to be trying to tell Vincent something. Will they be able to stop him before there are more victims?
