Imagine Dragons: Origins (2018) (2x LP) - LP

This year's most-streamed band, multi-platinum artists and Grammy winners Imagine Dragons are releasing their fourth album, Origins.

The album features, for example, the number one hit Natural and the single Zero from the film Ralph Breaks the Internet. Origins is intended to be a sister album to their previous release, Evolve. "It's about seeking new ground, but also appreciating your roots," says lead singer Dan Reynolds, whose bandmates are guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman. "When we create, we create with no boundaries, no rules. We find it thrilling to make music that feels new and different to us."

Imagine Dragons joined forces with producers Joel Little (Lorde/Khalid), Mattman & Robin (Selena Gomez/Carly Rae Jepsen) and John Hill (Florence & The Machine), who helped the band perfect the kaleidoscopic sound of Origins. The record moves between art rock, hip-hop, pop and folk, while still retaining the signature Imagine Dragons style: lyrics that tell stories of sometimes painful self-reflection, which ultimately lead to inspiration and uplift the soul.

Origins is being released 16 months after their previous album, Evolve, which was certified double platinum within a year, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and spawned three number one singles on the alternative radio charts. These include Believer (12 weeks at number one on the Alternative Radio Chart, number three on Top 40 Radio), Thunder (a number one single on the Top 40 chart, Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance) and Whatever It Takes (number three on the Top 40 Radio chart). Imagine Dragons are the ninth most-listened-to artist on Spotify.
