In the shadow of Baphomet

At the command of King Charles IV, the old and experienced Peter of Felsina sets out for distant Jerusalem. A seemingly simple task—to collect precious documents from a local merchant—turns into an unexpected and bloody drama. The past of the powerful Knights Templar, its wars, persecution, and eventual destruction, returns to Peter of Felsina's life. The secret of the Paris Temple, where the French King Philip IV the Fair searched in vain for the treasures and idols of the Templars, rises again from its ruins, surrounded by the dead. The day of the final reckoning with the past and the revelation of the secret of the most precious of all the order's relics is approaching. Prague under Charles IV, including the king himself and his court, will become participants in the final confrontation, where life and salvation are at stake.
